The most reliable source for information on gay clubs and activities is the Lesbian and Gay Switchboard (tel. 020/7837-7324). The staff runs a 24-hour service for information on gay-friendly places and activities. Time Out also carries information on lesbian and gay-geared events and places. A good place for finding out what's hot and hip is Prowler Soho, 5-7 Brewer St., Soho, W1 (tel. 020/7734-4031; Tube: Piccadilly Circus), the largest gay-lifestyle store in London. You can buy anything from jewelry to CDs, books, fashion, and sex toys here. It's open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
